With more education class time than ever, the 2008 Show was the most fabulous opportunity for learning make-up techniques ever presented in Europe. The 2008 show presented more than a dozen classes over two days.

Leading professionals and award-winning make-up artists will hold seminars covering a wide range of topics. Topics in years past included airbrushing, period hairstyling, character aging, bald cap application, and print and fashion make-up.

Life-casting expert John Schoonraad is a 30-year veteran of film and television. He worked at the Jim Henson Creature Shop and was the prosthetic supervisor for Black Hawk Down. He also contributed to Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan and the latest Rambo film. Schoonraad’s sculpting skill emerged at an early age and has made him a leader in the prosthetic make-up field.

Life casting has been an essential part of film making for many years, and there are many that can life-cast, but very few that can manage the complicated. In an industry that is forever pushing the boundaries, skill is everything. Schoonraad will demonstrate how to perform a full-body life cast in 20 minutes.
